Amitabh Bachchan condemns http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Nasser-Hussain-c78777’s remarks about Indian team - Cricket News Update
The former captain of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Nasir-c78728 Hussain's recent comments about the Indian team have stirred up the Indian media and are inviting criticism.
Bollywood has joined forces with the rest of the local media and Amitabh Bachchan, a renowned actor and a cricket lover, is not lagging behind in expressing his views about the audacious comments from Hussain.
Condemning Hussain’s remarks about the Indian team's fielding Bachchan said, “Did not like Nasser Hussain ex-cricket captain of UK, refer to Indian fielders as 'donkeys', as he commentated on tour of our team.”
The former English captain, who has now taken the role of a commentator, during a Twenty20 match played between India and England on Wednesday, August 31, said that the Indian team has donkeys on the field, after a youngster, Parthiv
Patel, dropped a catch of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/KP-Pietersen-c1806.
“I would say the difference between the two sides is the fielding. England are an all-round good fielding side. I do believe that India have few...3 or 4 very good fielders and one or two donkeys in the field still,” said Hussain.
Pakistan’s cricketing great, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Syed-Zaheer-Abbas-Kirmani-c92392, has pleaded to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to take strict actions against these comments and send a letter to cricket’s governing body the International Cricket Council
(http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625), so such incidents can be avoided in the future.
Abbas said that cricket is a gentleman’s game and no one has the right to say such presumptuous things about any team. Former Indian wicket-keeper batsman, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Abbas-c41488 and rubbed off Hussain’s remarks about Indian
fielders.
On the other hand, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Michael-Paul-Vaughan-c76145, former English cricketer, has laid support to the claims made by Hussain. The former captain sarcastically said, “Just seen that Nasser said the Indians have a couple of Donkeys in the field...
How wrong can he be!!!! I have seen at least 4....”
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750’s tour of England has been nothing short of a disaster for the Men in Blue, as they were whitewashed in the Test series and their poor fielding also cost them the Twenty20 match.
Team India still has a chance to redeem themselves in the ODI’s and with the first game washed away due to rain all attention is diverted towards the second game which will be played at The Rose Bowl on Tuesday, September 6.
