    as ammeter is always connected in series, unlike voltmeter, thts connected in parallel.

    assuming 5 ohms, then you put a small resistor in parallel with the meter to measure 150 ma.

    total R will be 0.5 ohms, but you need the added resistor a little larger so the total will be 0.5.

    R = 0.5*5/(5-0.5) = 0.555 ohms

  4. It should be in series with the resistor, and the resistor should be of as high a value as possible, this will make the ammeters resistance negligible and therefore you will get a more accurate reading.
