We can produce from ammonia 2 m3 of hydrogen per kg without losing a lot of energy...

We can have hydrogen stations where we want...

Etc...

  1. that is not practical then if you watch the news every time a tanker flips over with ammonia as cargo they have to evacuate several miles around to be safe--and if they ship hydrogen-they would not have to bother with that because their would nothing left in the crash site to save

  2. Infact it's the best thing.

It's transported  in special ammonia tank trucks in the steel containers.

Also some scientists say the salt Mg(NH3)6Cl2 is an ammonia storage(1 litre of liquid ammonia is stored in one litre of salt) and doesn't release ammonia at room condition so it will can be used to transport ammonia without problems.

However it's possible to start with our sure.. steel containers...

  3. It could be that Ammonia is not very nice to handle and that it would be expensive to split off the Hydrogen and separate both the Nitrogen and Hydrogen. Try using a search engine to find out more about this maybe.
