Amniotic fluid leakage?

Is there any chance of loosing amniotic fluid slowly after 30th week?

I mean slow discharge. If so what are its affects on labour?

  1. Yes it's possible.  Then you might have a dry birth, which isn't very comfortable at all.


  2. Yes there is. Your doctor will be able to tell and you will be closely monitored. If too much fluid is lost your labor maybe induced to avoid a dry delivery. This happened with my first pregnancy.

  3. You should defintely get checked out, but if it's just more mucously discharge, it probably is not leakage of fluid.  As you become more pregnant, you start to produce more mucous and that's most likely the discharge you are experiencing.  If you have a gush of fluid that's more consistent w/ your water bag rupturing.
