Manchester United’s third choice keeper, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ben-Amos-c7439 has gone on to insist that United need to win a trophy before the end of the season, in order to maintain their reputation.
Over the course of the last decade or so, United have been considered to be a team, which almost always end up with a trophy at the end of the season.
At the moment, the only tournament that the team can still win, is the English Premier League. Given how United currently possess a three point lead over their closest rivals, Amos feels that his side are easily on course to claiming another trophy before
the end of the season.
When talking about the Red Devils and just how they need to win a title or two, Amos is quoted to have said: "Man United are expected to win trophies every season and if we weren't to do that, we couldn't help but think that it hasn't been a successful season”
He then admitted that the entire squad was confident and this was going to prove to be crucial in the climax of the season.
"But we are all very confident, with the games coming up in front of us, that we can make it happen. We are in a strong position and we are in front of City.”
Amos then admitted that the team’s European form was rather disappointing this season, but felt that the team could easily bounce back next season and dominate on the European stage as well.
"Europe was a big disappointment because our past record over the last six years or so has been really good. It's something that we weren't expecting but now we can put our full concentration onto the Premier League."
It is now up to United to maintain their pressure and stay at the top of the league table, as they look to end the season with the Premier League crown.
Should the team continue to play they have been, it would be impossible for City to go on and over take them in the league. However, with the teams set to meet on the 30th of April, that game could potentially decide who wins the Premier League
crown this season.
