Question:

Amount of power availble???

Okay so I used to install stereos and TVs in cars and now I have a motorcycle. I would like to make some show-stopping electrical improvements.

The difference is that smaller motorcycle batteries and alternators provide less power than their 4-wheeled counterparts. On a car, you know you met the limit of the car's electrical power when the lights start to fade in and out while the alternator is running and this is typically solved with the installation of a 2nd battery, installation of a capacitor, or the removal of some of the electrical components.

I have no intention of adding a battery or a capacitor as I am space limited.

I would like to plan this out and know how many watts will be available for accessory components during peak utilization of power running on stock components. This will give me a good idea of the limits of the system design.

If anyone knows how to measure or calculate this. Please let me know. Even if its for a car, I should be able to adapt it ..
