Amoxicillin capsules BP 500mg + paracetalmols?

hi I'm on Amoxicillin capsules BP 500mg! with having toothache, am i able to take paracetamols too? to stop the pain?

  1. Absolutely. No problems there as long as you keep to the recommended dosage.

    I had a bout of tonsillitis a few weeks ago, and on top of the antibiotics, I needed to take ibuprofen every six hours just to keep the swelling down. Not entirely the same situation, I know, but similar enough.


  2. Yes, it's fine.  It's common to take painkillers with antibiotics.
