I have a 1000 Watt 4 Chanel Diesel Amp powering one 12 inch sub and 2 Xplod Door speakers. At first when i had it, it worked beautifully for a kid my age but after maybe 2 months my ground was pulled out and i repaired it and my amp turned on and played for maybe 30 minutes and then it shut off. So i assume it overheats so i let it be and leave my car overnight i get in my car the next morning and still my stereo dosent work. I check the amp its On everything is wired correctly no fuses are blown and the amp is red which means its on and wired right and it still does not work. I go to school then i come home and half way on the way home my sub starts working again so i play my music at a reasonable level and within 30 minutes its back to being off > This time however it took 3 days for the amp and sub to work again and it worked for maybe 3 minutes with ventallation and a fan on it. Can anbody help me i miss DA BASSSS

  1. Im guessing your clipping your speakers. Try turning the gain and the bass boost down. If you want real bass, your going to have to get some real equiptment instead junk. What the preout voltage on your head unit? Set the gain on the amp to match the preout voltage.

  2. Your amp is bad. If you wire your subs/speakers at an ohm load lower than the amp is designated for, it will slowly burn. That is why it's taking longer to work. Pretty soon, it won't work at all. Plan on buying a new one.
