Amp Shutting Off...?

I have two 2200W Lanzar Opti Subwoofers @ 1100 RMS dual voice coils wired parallel to a 4000W Lanzar Amplifier (i ran a jumper from my positive to my negative on the drivers), everytime i turn it up loud my amp kills. I have to turn it off and back on, then turn it down, why is my amp shutting off, as far as i am concerned that would be carrying a 4 ohm load....

  1. check the grown cables

  2. too lazy to check what ohm load each voice coil on the subwoofers is...

so do your self a favor and learn about ohm loads and how to get different ohm loads at the amp with a variety of wiring configurations in this website:

    http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer...

input the number of woofers, amound of voice coils, and their ohm load.

if the amp is stable at the final ohm load, then check your amp settings. never have any setting on max, and never have the gain/level higher than 3/4 up.

this will make the amp go into thermal/protect mode.
