okay my amp has 3 choices hpf lpf and all. i know what they mean but if i keep my amp on lpf to play the bass while i just installed a eq. will this stop the eq from working. should i instead put it to all and put all the frequencies except 60hz n 150 hz at 0. then try messing around to find a good sound.

  1. No. It is not going to keep your eq from working. Instead, the eq will first filter out the frequencies for just your sub, and when it gets to the amp, your amp's lpf will just filter it again. I will always have the lpf on the amp. Its just safer that way. Just put the lpf on and you can continue to use your eq as normal. think if it as added protection. Nothing to worry about. Its not going to filter too much or anything, it will just insure that the higher frequencies will not be playing through your subs as they are not designed to play higher frequencies.
