Question:

Amp fitting 2005 UK Honda Civic?

Just fitted my own head unit to my car. Bit of a pain but got there in the end. I've put in the RCA leads and the switched power for the amp. I did all this and installed the CD player with the battery still connected. I'm just wondering that if I disconnect the power to get the amp power wire on, will I need to enter a radio code when power goes back on. My aftermarket CD player has no way of entering codes.

  1. well when u took out the head unit in my discovery i replaced it with no prblem and it worked and it was fine

  2. No, this is only with the stock radio in a vehicle if the VIN number doesn't match the one stored in radio. (IE, you sell your stock radio to your buddy who then tries to put it in his car.)

All of the security system for the stereo is in the stereo itself, not your car.
