Amp fuse Question?

I have 2 amps both of them have 2 30fuse's in them my question is what kind of fuse do i need up by the battery??????????

  1. Both of these guys are wrong, and I'll explain why.

    The fuse you use on your main power wire is not to protect the amp, it's to protect the car and power wire. The amps total fuses add up to 120A, so you want to use a fuse with a higher rating than 120A. If you use a 100A fuse your going to run into problems with the fuse popping.

    I'd go with a 140A fuse.

    The whole point of a fuse on your main power line is to prevent fires, if the line were to short with no fuse your car could catch fire.

    Greg is right. My basic language is not English. I've read it in bad way. Thought he has only one amplyfier. The fuse near the battery is for your and batery safe, when something happens with your power cables etc.

    120, but a 100 amp maxi fuse would do it anyway
