Amp is getting hot?

i have a 15 inch sub and a 1000 watts sony explode amp i bridge the sub but my amp is getting too hot how can i fix this

The speakers' total reluctance is wrong. I'm guessing there are a bunch of speakers hooked up in parallel so their reluctance is lower than the amp should see. Do the math for a better circuit. Add a fan to the amp to cool it as well.

What guage power and ground wire do you run?

possibly need larger guage wire.
