Amp kit wiring question?

I need to know if I'm going overboard. I want to get an amp wiring kit off the internet so I don't overpay at the installation place. Here's the set up.

  1. that 4gauge kit should be fine for that amp.

    I think there is some extra stuff included in there.

    but thats not bad.

    go on crutchfield.com and add your subs and amp to the cart (dont buy) and it will show you what works best and the prices and such.

  3. My answer is the bigger the better.They do have a minimum of gauge that is saposed to be used but there is no cap on how heavy the wire should be.The bigger the wire the better it will carry the signal better.

  4. That kit should be just fine, just make sure the amp can accept the 4 gauge wire. I would also suggest maybe a 10 or 12 gauge wire for the subs. More flow means less resistance, and a coller running amp.
