Amp problems?

i have my amp hooked up and it works fine but everytime i turn on my car my sub makes a big boom. how do i stop it from doing this?

  1. this might be a grounding problem.

    check if the RCA's are good and if the ground spot been used for the amp is good too. clean the spot and make sure there is NO paint and No dirt on it.

    another thing to check is your amp settings. never have any setting on the amp at max. and for the gain/level, never have it over 3/4 high. this will give the subs a very distorted sound and can cause different problems.


  2. you need to find a better place to hook up your ground cable or check the input wires and your remote wire mite be hooked up to a continues positive charge.
