Amp turn on lead?

i need help on installing my amp turn on lead into my 1997 jeep grand cherokee laredo. it has an after market vr3 head and i was wondering if i can use speaker wire to wire it to the turn on lead as well

yea bascially a remote wire is speaker wire even smaller around 22 guage

yeah just make sure u dont use a gauge thats too big or too small.....
