Amp works on off on off

Question

i plugged in my amp and turned it on extreme buzz and or hum i plug in my guitar cord and turn the volume up . 3 minutes after playing extreme buzzing/humming next i have to play with the guitar cord at the amp just touch or tap to get it to work again
