  1. any prescription drug can be dangerous. but if your medicine was prescribed to you by your doctor, you don't need need to worry about, as long as you take the dosage he said you should. amphetamine is also found in things like tylenol, so don't worry about it

  2. ok first off amphetamines are not found in tylenol...it's acetaminophen which thins the  blood that is in over the counter pain killers...and yes amphetamines are dangerous...but if you are taking the pills by mouth the dosage your doctor prescribed you should be ok...however i know people who were prescribed adderall and they would crush it and snort it and that led them to snort other uppers...

  3. yeah i think vitimins are better. Amphetamines increase the heart and respiration rates, increase blood pressure, dilate the pupils of the eyes, and decrease appetite. Other side effects include anxiety, blurred vision, sleeplessness, and dizziness. Abuse of amphetamines can cause irregular heartbeat and even physical collapse. A common form of abuse of amphetamines is by people who use them to counter the effects of sleeping pills (barbiturates) taken the night before. This roller coaster effect is damaging to the body.

  4. oh yes it can be if taken in large amounts and over long periods of time - my husband became very addicted to adderall (which his psychiatrist put him on to keep him awake during the day) and it led to another drug addiction because the adderall wasn't working anymore and he needed something to keep him awake - he developed high blood pressure and his pulse stayed over 130 with it - i would REALLY stay away from it unless you need it - you can become very dependent on it

amphetamines ARE NOT in tylenol btw

According to the above they are dangerous. In the early 60's when I was a kid the dangers of this drug were often related

    to we children.

  6. Adderall is a mix of amphetamine salts, which are chemically related to methamphetamine (specifically, methamphetamine has an additional 'methyl' group attached to the molecule, hence the name).

However, despite the similarity, the two drugs are quite different: methamphetamine is a much longer-lasting drug with more profound physiological effects. Users take it primarily for the dopamine rush it generates, and also for the wakefulness it causes.

Adderall is really quite different, and the problems caused by long-term methamphetamine use (psychosis, damage to teeth and gums, neurotoxicity) do not occur with Adderall use.

However, Adderall does now have a black box warngin from the FDA, the strongest such warning available, which warns users that the drug can cause heart attacks because of its stimulant effects. You may also develop a dependance to the drug which may make it more difficult to give up.

In short, while Adderall does have its own health risks, they are quite different from those caused by methamphetamine!
