Amplifier faults every 15 seconds?

Question

The amplifier in my car (300w Visionik mono amp, class D) will quickly blink it's Fault light every 15 seconds, even with the headunit off and subs disconnected.

Is the amp bad?

check to see if your power is touching your remote.  If its hooked up properly the amp should be off with no power when your car is off.

yep sounds like the power and rmt may be crossed.....or a strand of power wiring is touching the rmt connect....that happened to me....took forever to find it. also the ground and power could be swapped, the amp will work like this but only for a short period.
