Question:

Amplifier power cutting out

I have a Marantz PM-80 amplifier, it turns on but when Class A is switched on the volume drops down to very low, also when not in Class A if volume is turned to over 1/4 level the amp cuts out ie: switches off the comes back on in 2 seconds, it does this until volume is turned right down. Can you help?
