Amps for Alpine SWX-1043D 10"?

What would be the best amp to run a 10" Type X with?

you didn't mentioned you budget but any good mono amplifier putting out 500rms wii be enof for it.

you don't need 1000rms to power them coz that will be just plain loundess - no music

so look into amplifiers which are capable putting atleast half their rated power and you'll be happy.

I've got two 12" Type X's on a hifonics amp. It runs them very very well to say the least and doens't over heat . You can buy an affordable hifonics amp for half the price of an alpine amp so i'd go with that. Buy one that's rated for like 1000 - 1200 rms watts and even though its not as efficient as a alpine PDX1000 you will still get roughly 900-1000w rms for half the price .....
