Amps.......help.....

should i get a mono amp, 2 channel amp, or multi. I want to hook up a 12" 1200W Dual 4-Ohm Subwoofer to my pontiac.

well if your going to stay with that one subwoofer then get a mono amp, but if your gonna get another sub in the future get a 2 channel amp.

Okay, okay - a real answer.

A mono amp will do the job for a subwoofer.  Low frequency sound doesn't benefit from 'stereo' sources.  It's not perceived as directional in such a confined space since it propagates through the structure as well as through the air.

Remember to get BIG wire running from the battery to the amp.  1200W is going to draw a *lot* of current.
