Amsterdam airport? Schiphol?

Question

I will be traveling from MSP to Cairo Egypt in August. I am supposed to spend around 10-12 hours in Amsterdam airport. What kinds of things can I do there? Btw, Im 18 years old.(male) also, i heard that i can check in to a hotel connected to AMS for a few euros and take a nap and shower. Is this true?

I think that checking into a hotel is more than a few Euros. I've searched for the cheapest hotel around and it is usually around60 to 80 Euros. You can take a shower on the upper floor of the airport. I think it was about 10 Euros. It is a huge airport and you can type in Schipol into Google to look at their website. most of the girls I have met there have blonde hair and are pleasant to talk with.

Be careful. The Schiphol airport is a real hole. It is so huge that it took me one hour to walk from the overseas arrival to domestic departure. No help, no transport and screaming intercoms telling me that I am late for the departure desk. The KLM aircraft which flew me to Holland was three hours too late. You should find a day stay accommodation at the Airport for about 30 euros - i think. That is what I normally pay in most of World airports.
