When my Train left boston at 1pm on a thursday and i was traveling to my home town seattle WA they said that the trip was only going to take 5 days.

  1. 5 days

  2. Amtrak doesn't have "bullet" trains.

  3. You did NOT take the Acela train West out of Boston. You probably were on the "normal" AMTRAK train from Boston to Chicago and then transferred to the "Empire Builder" from Chicago to Seattle.  There is no AMTRAK from Salt Lake City to Seattle unless you go all the way to San Francisco and then change to the "Coast Starlight".....sorry....no Bullet train. The entire trip from Boston to Seattle is 5 and 1/2 days not including the overnight layover in Chicago.
