Amtrack ticket pickup?

Hey guys, if I'm heading from station A to station B by Amtrak, and station B has no ticketing service whatsoever (including machines), then can I get my return ticket from B to A at station A when I start my trip?

could you tell what cities it would be a lot more helpful

then station A to station b (as you could also buy the ticket

from the conductor aboard the train) or from a travel agent

as well
