Amtrak in IL? Going to the zoo..?

Can I take the Amtrak train (the tne that goes from woodfield to chicgo) anywhere close to Brookfield zoo? Thanks!!!!!

hi .. no it don't look like you can take amtrak from where you are (i couldn't find woodfield on the map i was looking at) to the zoo ... you'd have ta take the metra - burlington northern santa fe line that goes from chicago to aurora (but i do think it says that line is an amtrak route too) i seen on another website that the bnsf metra line actually has a zoo stop there .. i thought that was pretty cool.

so i'd guess you would have to go into chicago and go back west or something to get there .. seems it would be just as easy driving your car or taking a bus maybe? have fun going to the zoo btw!  ; )
