Amtrak rules?

do they allow you to take on liquids in either carry-on or baggage on amtrak trains?

They do an inspection of your carry-ons only for dangerous wepaons, drugs and other types of prohibited materials.

If you were thinking about coming on with an open container of booze or beer, I would be fairly cautious.  They may not allow you to do that.  

As for your standard toiletries such as shave cream, hairspray and other items for personal grooming, you are going to be just fine.

As a personal note, I had to make special arrangements to take a hunting rifle with me when I was visiting relatives for a hunting trip last year.  I just could not bring live ammunition, and the rifle was checked and placed in the actual baggage car at the head of the train.

The Amtrak staff is really great.  If you need anything, they will do their best to see that you are taken care of.

yes, no problem, there is no baggage inspection. There is only carry on, no checked luggage, but you can take on as much as you can haul.

TSA is only concern is with the airplanes
