Amtrak train baggage checks?

Question

I will be traveling home on a train/ bus combo in california the station I am leaving from I don't think is manned! Can I sstill check in a suitcase there? also if I take a small dufflebag backpack and a book bag would that go over my carry-on limit?

There is no carry on limit on AMTRAK. Plus, they have a large bag storage area on the lower level just as you enter the car. Be sure you tag your stuff
