Amtraks train ride??

Question

my freind recently moved from san jose ca to auburn ca and i was wondering if there was a direct train to ride from san jose to auburn.... i was thinking about departing oct 31st in the morning and leaving nov 2 in the afternoon... links are MUCH apprieciated (sorry i suck at spelling)

looks like you'd have to switch in sacramento

apparent there is NO train service (via amtrak to Auburn but it is  a stop

for Amtrak thruway bus services

so you can leave San Jose at 9:00am arrive Sacramento at 12:15pm

and the bus leaves at 1:00pm arriving Auburn about 2:10pm

for the return you can leave Auburn at 2:00 arr Sacramento at  3;20

train departs at 3:35 arr San Jose at 6:45pm
