Amusement Parks: ever noticed this?

Most parks I've been to over the years do this...when you arrive at the ticket booth, there is a sign with a list of rides that are closed that day. Have you ever noticed that (for the most part) every damned one on the list is one you actually REALLY wanted to ride?

I just visited a park last weekend with my husband and kids and there were 14 rides on this list. Sadly enough, they were the only ones I was interested in. I felt pretty jipped.

  1. Oh, man I know! LOL! I mean that is so weird i'm always looking forward to a certain ride and then when I get there it says it's closed. Then i go to the second ride that I really wanna ride then that's closed too! Amusement parks suck, ha ha ha! Just kidding!

  2. You know what pisses me off? I went to alton towers a few years ago and after I paid my £28 there was a water ride that still charged for it, I mean how c**p is that?

Im done with these amusement parks now anyway, there prices are just stupid.

  3. Recently I've Gone To Amusement Parks And Every Ride Has Been Open that I wanted To Ride But when I went To Knotts A Few Weeks Ago It SaidGhostrider And La Revolution Would Be Closed all Day And Everything Else Would Be Open All Day.  I Walk In The Park And La Revolution Is Open Which I Don't Care About.  Ghostrider Is Still Closed :{  And Pony Express Is Closed :{  I Know That Isn't A Lot Of Rides Closed But I Really Wanted To Ride Those 2.

  4. Yes but they do list it on their websites of which rides are down so maybe one can do  some planning before hand.

  5. Oh my definatly!

I just went to Knotts not horribly long ago and they had my favorite ride closed down; Big Foot Rapids, along with eight others. It is a bummer especially because usually trips like that are planned with entire families to enjoy so when we get there and half the bigger rides are closed, it's like why did we even come? Might as well enjoy ourselves on those little quarter merry-go-rounds in front of the supermarker...

  6. yea ive noticed well the thing is rides need alot of maintenance and they cost alot to run but if you you call the amuesment park (most of them have it) or go there you can ask for this pamplet and it tells you which rides will be closed on which days but usually after a month or two theres a new schedule and yes i use to feel bad but now im used to it
