Amusement Parks?

Question

My family and friends are deciding whether to go to Universal Studios in California or Disneyland. I have been both to Universal Studios in Florida and Disney World, and I was wondering if it was the same in CA. Which one do you think is more fun with better rides and shows? I am teenager and love going on the rides and to shows.

If you have already been to Universal Studios Orlando, then you can skip the Hollywood one. Many of the rides there are at the Florida one already. However, Disneyland Park is generally agreed as better than the Magic Kingdom at Disneyworld. It has many exclusive rides like the Indiana Jones Adventure and originals like Pirates of the Caribbean. Plus, right across from Walt's original park, is Disney's California Adventure Park. A theme park based on the culture and landscape of California. Rides include the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Soarin' over California, California Screamin', and new for 2008, Toy Story Midway Mania!

EDIT: Universal Studios Hollywood is open. The only thing closed is the King Kong scene and the Town Square set in the Studio Tour because they were burnt down.

Everything in California in not right next to each other like they are in Florida.  California has all the original parks.  

Universal just had a big fire and will not be up to oar for months, so I would recommend Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure; they are in the same place.

I stopped going to amusement parks because I have been there done that already, it's boring to me now.  But I think universal studios is way better.  Disney is generally for smaller kids or adults who can drink alcohol.  If your going for the rides, hit up universal studios.

Wow I have been to Disney world and Universal studios many times and in my experience if you are thinking about going I would go to Florida.I have also been to Disney Land. There isn't as much as rides and 1 less park.So in my experience I would definetly choose Florida it is super fun!

well if young kids are going u should go to disneyland, its a great place to go. but universal studios if there older kids going

i liked universal studios hollywood better than disneyland anaheim:

but disneyland had more "return to my childhood and magic" feelings and exquisite foods!

i would definitely go back to universal studios before disneyland because theres always new movies, etc. THere is now a new theme park next to disneyland called California adventure or something

I've been to both Disneys;  the one in Florida is bigger but the one in CA is great too and its the original.

The only Universal I ever visited was the one in CA;  I think its worth your time if for nothing else but the fact that CA is the movie capital of the world.

Six Flags Magic Mountain, Valencia CA. I"m going next week! Its hella funner than Universal Studios (partially burned down in fire) and Disney Land.

The disney parks and the universal parks are totally different from the ones in California and Florida, the California parks are a wee bit smaller and have less theme parks but they are still different and have loads of stuff to do. They both are just fun places to be at, so I would definitely try both. Both universal and disneyland have their pro's and con's. But when it comes down to picking wether to go to universal or disneyland? I would choose Disneyland imho. It has the "disney magic" and the adventure and imagination of Walt Disney. Just a truly great place.

But if you are looking for rides, rides, and rides, your family should check out Six Flags Magic Mountain which is somewhat near those parks as well. They have more than a dozen of world class coasters and rides and thrills for everybody! Check all of them out.

Do not waste your time at either!

Go to Six Flags Majic Mountain!!

Tons of rides and super fun, besides it also has bugs bunny!

Also know as wally word from National Lampoons Vacation!!

ok well disneyworld is amazing and all, but i still like disneyland better.

the rides at disneyworld are wayyy shorter!

and then there's six flags! thats hella fun!

and universal is cool too.
