Amusement park horror stories?

I was just wondering if any of you had an amusement park horror story to share? Also if any of you have worked in an amusement park like Cedar Point or Six Flags what reasons do you guys close down the rides for? I know it can't be anything too bad since everyone gets off safely but what kind of problem makes you feel the need to shut the ride down? And how are you sure it's safe again?

  1. welll i went to knotts and i went on bigfoot water rapids just as the ride was almost over it stopped they told us it would be alright and it was but it still scared the ****out of me!!

  2. Well I remember that when I was little they had to close down a ride because one kid was way to small for the ride but they let him on anyway and he fell straigh out of the seat on a loop and died. Scary...

I know for a fact they close down rides for lightning and rain (for the wooden coasters)

  3. I know at six flags big rides get shutdown much easier than smaller ones.

  4. I kind of have a Final Destination 3 fear of coasters. I love them, but are scared too. This isn't really a HORROR story:

It was my first time on a Corkscrew Coaster in 2006 and I was scared out of my mind! We sat in the 3rd car in the back, and before "takeoff," a man in front of us looks behind and sees my scared face. "You look like your gonna die, son." He said.  "Kinda," I said. "Well you should be," he told me. This scared me even more. So, we went through the ride with not a bump or bruise on me. When we got off, he tapped me on the back and said, "I was wrong this time, sonny. Have a good rest of the day." It was a very weird experience!

  5. I'm scared of heights so I NEVER ever go on rollercoasters. I once was @ six flags in NJ & It was a bunch of us going. The daughter of a friend of mine wanted to go on a coaster which is really old and extremely high up in the air. This girl was only about 15, and I'm guessing she wasn't tall enough to get on because when she got off she was hysterical saying how she had to hold on for dear life because she felt herself slipping. Whoever was working the ride didn't do their job and she could have lost her life that day.

  6. im not sure if this is a horror story but it Happened at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. I was riding the cable cars between contries sorta late in the afternoon, I saw a car approaching from other side and I noticed it was bouncing around a bit. When it got closer I saw it was a Guy and a girl and the girl was sorta up and down in the guys lap. I stared and the guy just smiled as we passed each other. Man I had the biggest ***** getting off that ride.
