Amuzement park in Panama City, Panama ...?

What exactly is going on with this rumor that there will be a major theme park in Panama City, Panama? Who's building it? What company? Disney, Warner Bros., etc.? When will the construction start and where exactly in Panama?

Not true. That rumor has been around for years.

There have been rumors like that for couple of years, stating that the CEO from Disney had visited both Panama and Costa Rica in order to get an idea as to build a theme park catering to those that are not able or not considering to obtain a US visa in order to visit Walt Disney World or Disneyland.

At least in Panama those rumors were cleared up by the Minister of Tourism when they surfaced.  Michael Eisner never visited Panama, and we're not sure that he ever did visit even for pleasure or his personal investment.

I don't know if the same was done in Costa Rica, as I heard rumors that Disney had acquired land.

As of today there are no indications that a theme park is planned for the Republic of Panama, as those permits are public domain, and the news would be out in a matter of hours.

Nothing. Just a rumor. When Miracle Strip closed down it started swirling around that a theme park was going to be built but its not going to happen.
