  1. I am not an expert in such duels but i am telling you about a show which used to come on Discovery Channel called "Animal Face Off".

    The video is here -

  2. In general, the tiger is the larger and stronger animal.

  3. None.

They kill each other mercilussly and after wards, they rot and the big ugly birds come eat em up.

  4. Whichever has the most stamina and energy when they enter the fight.

  5. A Siberian Tiger is the largest cat in the world, and can reach a weight of 800 pounds.  Even a large adult African Lion doesn't come close to that.

Why would anyone, in their "right" mind, want to have these two magnificent animals fight?  They are both wonderful creatures and do their part in helping to keep our planet healthy and strong, IF man will just leave them alone.

Tigers are becoming more and more rare in the wild, and ARE on the endangered list.  We need to protect them, not have them fight, hunt them down, "or" put them in captivity.

  6. the one which is in its natural habitat .

  7. A battle between a lion and a tiger could go either way. There are numerous records of fights between these species, since many people in the past have wanted the answer to this question and tried to settle it by cruelly pitting tigers and lions against each other. In some cases the tiger wins, in some cases the lion. The outcome of such a fight depends on the individuals involved - their age, size, s*x, health, experience, temperament, etc. Tigers are larger and stronger, weighing up to 660lb (not 800lb as BWANA says!) compared to the 550lb of a lion, but size and strength are not the only determining factors - a large but timid tiger would be likely to lose to a small but aggressive lion, even though it was stronger. Lions generally have more fighting experience - they often clash with other prides, whereas tigers tend to avoid conflict whenever possible.
