An American new to the sport wanting to join the Tottenham fanbase

Hello everyone. I have been trying to getting into soccer for a while. As you all are aware of, American soccer is a complete joke. After a search, I decided to settle with Tottenham as my team. However, new to the sport and the team, can any of their fans give me a run down on the team and its history and point me towards a good forum? I plan to watch the Olympics to become much more familiar with the sport.

if someone told you not to choose arsenal as your team then they are wrong..never believe what the media says

last year everybody says arsenal will not even match tottenham when henry(our legend) left the club for barca but look where it gets us..title contender

just try watch at youtube arsenal perfect passing or something like that

BTW the only reason why we didnt win last year was bcos of injury

this season,just watch for the combination of samir nasri/carlos vela and theo walcott they are the best esp. walcott

First and forth most, welcome.. IT IS always nice to have another fellow American interested in THE BEAUTIFUL GAME.. I want to make a small mention that if only American soccer(football) have had more support from us, then our league can improve our fan base and interest. .

Well,  i don't FULLY depend the info on that site to be correct, BUT it can be helpful in some aspects.

Another alternative in keeping your interests. And especially here on Answers. You should be a contact or fan of OTHER fellow Tottenham supporters here in the football section. That way, you can come to them for any information you wish to know about in regards to the club and so on. Plus, the fan support and connection is great.

Welcome to the club. i will take it that you are going to watch your first season. so i warn you that your heart rate and B.P will go up as tottenham hotspur has been found to be the most stressful team to support. its all good though. the experience is worth it . with tottenham weather we win or lose entertainment is a guarantee .

our ultimate dream is to finish in the top 4 and become a champions league club. there is no doubt that we are capable. we are the slepping giants of english football and had been tipped to reach top 4 past 2 seasons but just missed out but now we have a very good manager and a good team  and so  hopefully we can break into top 4  this season . we have a game against Roma today (pre season friendly) and you can follow the game and get all news , history, player information all the rest of the stuff from the official website.  

The players to watch out for this season are Modric,Berbatov,     giovani dos santos, Bently and possibly arshvin if we purchase him.
