An Overview of NFL Week 6 (Part 2)
Atlanta Falcons vs. Philadelphia Eagles
The Falcons (4-2) fell to the Eagles (4-2) with a final score of 17-31. The passing leader for Atlanta was Ryan with 23-42 for 250 yards and 2 TDs. Turner was the rushing leader with 15 carries for 45 yards while the receiving leader was Jenkins with 5 receptions
for 99 yards.
Philadelphia’s passing leader was Kolb with 23-29 for 326 yards and 3 TDs while the rushing leader was McCoy with 21 carries for 64 yards. The leader in receptions was Maclin with 7 for 159 yards and 2 TDs.
The Falcons had 293 yards and 2 turnovers in 25:57 while the Eagles had 474 yards and 1 turnover in 34:03.
Cleveland Browns vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
The Browns (1-5) fell to the Steelers (4-1) with a final score of 10-28. McCoy was Cleveland’s leader in passing with 23-33 for 281 yards and 1 TD. Hillis was the rushing leader with 12 carries for 41 yards while Watson was the receiving leader with 6 receptions
for 88 yards and 1 TD.
Pittsburgh’s passing leader was Roethlisberger with 16-27 for 257 yards and 3 TDs while Mendenhall had 27 carries for 84 yards and 1 TD to make him the Steelers’ rushing leader. The leader in receptions was Wallace with 3 for 90 yards and 1 TD.
The Browns had 327 offensive yards and 3 turnovers in their 28:04 of possession time, while the Steelers yielded 378 yards and 1 turnover in 31:56.
New Orleans Saints vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Saints (4-2) defeated the Buccaneers (3-2) with a final score of 31-6. New Orleans’ passing leader was Brees with 21-32 for 263 yards and 3 TDs. The rushing leader was Ivory with 15 carries for 158 yards while Meachem was the receiving leader with 4
receptions for 71 yards and 1 TD.
Tampa Bay’s Freeman was the leader in passing with 25-43 for 219 yards and 1 TD while Williams was leader in both rushing and receiving with 10 carries for 18 yards and 7 receptions for 63 yards.
The Saints collected 475 offensive yards and gave up 1 turnover in 31:29 of possession time while the Buccaneers acquired 277 yards in 28:31.
Kansas City Chiefs vs. Houston Texans
The Chiefs (3-2) fell to the Texans (4-2) with a final score of 31-35. The passing leader for Kansas City was Cassel with 20-29 for 201 yards and 3 TDs. Jones was the leader in rushing, with 19 carries for 100 yards and 1 TD, while the leader in receptions
was Bowe with 6 for 108 yards and 2 TDs.
Houston’s passing leader was Shaub with 23-33 for 305 yards and 2 TDs. Rushing leader was Foster with 18 carries for 71 yards and 2 TDs while Johnson led in receptions with 8 for 138 yards and 1 TD.
Both teams had no turnovers and the Chiefs managed 417 offensive yards in 33:28 while the Texans amassed 421 yards in their 26:32 of possession time.
New York Jets vs. Denver Broncos
The Jets (5-1) defeated the Broncos (2-4) with a final score of 24-20. The passing leader for New York was Sanchez with 17-30 for 198 yards and 1 TD while Tomlinson led in rushing with 16 carries for 55 yards and 2 TDs. Keller was the leader in receptions
with 3 for 75 yards.
Denver’s passing leader was Orton with 14-34 for 209 yards and 1 TD. Moreno was the leader in rushing with 12 carries for 48 yards while the receiving leader was Gaffney with 6 receptions for 81 yards.
The Jets mustered 319 offensive yards with 3 turnovers in their 29:37 of possession while the Broncos had 346 yards and 2 turnovers in 30:23.
