An Overview of NFL Week 6 (Part 3)
Oakland Raiders vs. San Francisco 49ers
The Raiders (2-4) fell to the 49ers (1-5) with a final score of 9-17. Oakland’s passing leader was Campbell with 8-21 for 83 yards. Bush was the rushing leader with 20 carries for 47 yards. The receiving leader was Miller with 2 receptions
for 48 yards.
San Francisco’s Smith was the passing leader with 16-33 for 196 yards and 2 TDs. The rushing leader was Gore with 25 carries for 149 yards while Crabtree was the leader in receptions with 4 for 57 yards and 1 TD.
The Raiders attained 179 offensive yards and 2 turnovers in their 26:38 of possession time while the 49ers procured 349 yards with no turnovers in their time of 33:22.
Dallas Cowboys vs. Minnesota Vikings
The Cowboys (1-4) lost to the Vikings (2-3) with a final score of 21-24. Dallas’ leader in passes was Romo with 24-32 for 220 yards and 3 TDs while the rushing and receiving leader was Jones with 14 carries for 32 yards and 10 receptions
for 61 yards.
Minnesota’s Favre was the passing leader in the game with 14-19 for 118 yards and 1 TD while Peterson was the rushing leader with 24 carries for 73 yards and 1 TD. Moss was the leader in receptions with 5 for 55 yards.
The Cowboys earned 314 offensive yards and had 2 turnovers in their 32:20 of offensive play, while the Vikings reaped 188 yards and 1 turnover in 27:50 of possession time.
Indianapolis Colts vs. Washington Redskins
The final game on Sunday October 17 was between the Colts (4-2) and the Redskins (3-3) in which the Colts won, 27-24. Indianapolis’ passing leader was Manning with 25-38 for 307 yards and 2 TDs. Addai was the leader in rushing with 17
carries for 128 yards and 1 TD. The receiving leader was Garcon with 4 receptions for 103 yards and 1 TD.
Washington’s passing leader was McNabb with 29-45 for 246 yards and 1 TD. Rushing leader was Torain with 20 carries for 100 yards and 2 TDs while Moss was the leader in receptions with 8 for 77 yards.
The Colts snagged 469 offensive yards and gave up 2 turnovers in their 27:30 of play while the Redskins had 335 yards in their 32:30 of possession time and also had 2 turnovers.
Tennessee Titans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
The final game of Week 6 took place on Monday October 18, with the Titans (4-2) defeating the Jaguars (3-3) with a final score of 30-3. Tennessee’s passing leader was Collins
with 11-16 for 110 yards and 1 TD while the rushing leader was Johnson with 26 carries for 111 yards and 1 TD. The receiving leader was Scaife with 4 receptions for 53 yards and 1 TD.
Jacksonville’s passing leader was Edwards with 14-24 for 140 yards while Jones-Drew was the leader in rushes with 17 carries for 57 yards. Thomas was the receiving leader with 8 receptions for 88 yards.
The Titans procured 324 offensive yards and no turnovers in 32:45 of play while the Jaguars obtained 249 yards and 4 turnovers in 27:15 of possession time.
The Buffalo Bills, Cincinnati Bengals, Carolina Panthers and Arizona Cardinals had a bye week in Week 6 and will play in NFL Week 7 against the Baltimore Ravens, Atlanta Falcons, San Francisco 49ers, and Seattle Seahawks, respectively.
