An actual hockey question....

My friend really likes my girlfriend and it making me very angr....oh, wait, wrong section. This is the hockey section, yes, I forgot...anyways, seeming I need to talk/discuss some hockey, I will ask this question:

Who is one player who has previously played for your team who you would love to have back on your team?

For me, I don't know why, but I'd love for the Leafs to bring back Corey Schwab. I don't know why, I always liked Corey Schwab. He was a good goalie. He did good for the Leafs when he played in Toronto for the 2001-2002 season going 12-10-5 with a 2.73GAA.

I also really like his mask.

Then when he signed in New Jersey to play there for the next few seasons after that he had a 1.47 and 0.64 GAA each season, respectively. Yeah, yeah, I know NJ is a defensive minded team, but 1.47 and 0.64GAA? Goddamn. lol.

But then he retired due to injuries. =[

Anyways, who would you want back on your team who played with your team previously?

  1. Of current players, hmm let's see....

Zdeno Chara would be my first choice

    honorable mentions:

    Wade Redden

Roberto Luongo- What really sucked about this one is if they had kept him, then they draft Heatley or Gaborik instead of DiPietro

    J.P. Dumont

    Olli Jokinen

    Eric Brewer

    Mathieu Schneider

    Michael Peca

    Chris Osgood

    Jason Blake

Just for NIPS, I'll add a few more lesser players

Bryan Berard- although they will probably re-sign him

    Bryan McCabe

    Todd Bertuzzi

    Tim Connolly

    Miroslav Satan

    Brent Sopel

    Adrian Aucoin

    Victor Kozlov

Ryan Smyth- Gave up 2 prospects and a first round pick for what, 6 weeks?

OK, I give up now. Thank you Don Maloney, Mike Milbury and Garth Snow

  2. i would want Ryan Malone, for the Pens

  3. Martin St. Louis

    Calgary Fan.

  4. Joe Thornton for obvious reasons.

Also, Sergei Samsonov. He was my favorite player when he was here. Although I knew Joe was better, I liked Sergei more. I loved his speed and stickhandling, couldn't get enough of it. I don't think he ever really lived up to his potential, but I always loved the guy.

  5. Scott Gomez - Devils

  6. Well, after getting a massage in Eastern Ohio and now my friend thinks this boy at school likes me, I need a new carborator for my I-phone, tap dancing lessons.

    Brad May

  7. Shawn Matthias-

He didnt play on the team... but would have this season if he werent traded for Bertuzzi.  The WIngs will really miss his production (or what would have been, for 700K) You need really good low priced talent in the world of the CAP! And thats one that I wish didnt get away.

He will compete for the Calder with FLA this year!

  8. Adam Foote... Wait, we got him back

Peter Forsberg... Wait, we got him back too

Jose Theodore... Nope, who wants Theodore? (Washington)

    Ray Bourque... Maybe

Rob Blake... Yep, Rob Blake. The best defenseman on a constant Stanley Cup (or at least, make-it-to-the-conference-finals) juggernaut.

  9. Hahahaha!

    Brad Richards!

  10. If it were possible, I would enjoy seeing Pavel Bure back with the Panthers. It also would be nice if he had two good knees to play on at the same time.

  11. As a Sabres fan, it's easy.

    Without a doubt, Chris Drury.

If we're talking retired players, Mike Foligno.  I loved that obnoxious spastic hop he used to do after he scored, even though I know it was lame.  And that he could score 30 goals and would fight anyone.

  12. i think we all know my answer to this.... Ryan Malone. I also wouldn't mind having Johan Hedberg back as another goalie. I'd feel more comfortable with him in net than Sabo.

  13. Lol. I would like to have Thibault as a back up goalie. I dont like Sabu and i dont really want Conklin back because he is a meany. So ya Thibault.

  14. Darryl Sittler, Lanny Mc Donald, Borje Salming, Wendel Clark, Doug Gilmour, that Sundin guy, and to name a few others:

    Centers

    4 Lenoard Red Kelly

    10 George Armstrong (Captain)

    12 Pete Stemkowski

    14 Dave Keon

    15 Mike Walton

    25 Milan Marcetta

      Wingers

    11 Ron Ellis

    18 Jim Pappin

    20 Bob Pulford (A. Capt.)

    22 Larry Jeffrey

    23 Eddie Shack

    24 John Brenneman

    27 Frank Mahovlich

      Defensemen

    3 Marcel Pronovost

    7 Miles Tim Horton

    16 Larry Hillman

    19 Kent Douglas

    21 Bob Baun

    24 Aut Erickson

    26 Allan Stanley (A. Capt.)

      Goaltenders

    1 Johnny Bower

    30 Terry Sawchuk

But not this year, I want to get that Tavares kid first.

    Should just about do it.

  15. Scott Niedermayer :(  I was really sad when he left because not only was he an amazing player, but he was a really nice person.  I've only met him once, and he was super friendly to everyone.  I got an autograph and a picture taken with him!

Plus, the Devils really need a d man who can score and be defensive, especially now that Rafalski's gone and we haven't exactly signed anyone that amazing.
