An alternative to saying "to join R & C in holy matrimony"?

Question

Getting married on a small beach in Florida on 08-08-08. A friend is a notary and will be marrying us. We really don't care for the whole "holy matrimony" thing and would like an alternative saying. No dearly beloved either. "We are gathered here today to join R & C .......... ANY suggestions on how to complete this sentence??

"we are gathered here to join in the celebration of R & C's wedding" something along those lines maybe or "we are gathered here to join in the celebration of R & C's everlasting love"

Actually I like the second one better. but maybe you could go along those lines.  We're using the second. I'm an atheist and the whole mention of anything "holy" is just stupid for me (not for everyone but definately for me)
