  1. Why are you that fixated on having a dog with strong jaws? Why aren't you satisfied with your dog the way she is?

  2. It may be she is not from the bully amstaffs which is where you will see all the dogs that look heavyset and very broad, these are the ones people are breeding to use for fighting, baiting, tugging.Amstaffs were actually bred for pulling and their actual strength is in their chest.you may be pleasingly surprised to see if you try training your dog to pull and see how fast she will take to that more eagerly,as i said before if she is not from the bully breeding background her interest in hanging on to things gets boring thus she releases and no amount of trainng is going to help her, just the same as a german shepherd with no ball drive,no amount of training is going  to make him a good police dog.

  3. As an owner of 5 Pit Bulls I have to say your questions are upsetting.

Did you get papers for this dog that says it's an AmStaff or are you just calling it that?

No it's not strange for her breed not to want to hang on for long.  Some dogs like it some dogs don't.  There personalitys are not the same.

Sorry but you don't sound like someone that should own the breed.

Springpole on concrete that can cause serious injury.  Worried about the dogs jaws.   That is not what a responsible owner worries about.

To the poster above me you are very incorrect.  I can show you several AmStaffs that love to hang.  AmStaffs are decendents of the American Pit Bull Terrier some believe they are still the same since they can be dual registered.

Please do some reading and get your facts straight.

  4. My pitbull didn't do this when she was a puppy b/c their teeth are sensitive. You may still notice blood on the toy when you play rough with her. She does now, although she's not one of those dogs that you see hanging from a tree all day lol
