Does anyone know if there is an old-fashioned word for 'beating someone up' or 'giving/receiving a beating'? Thanks!

A fight with someone is a "donnybrook" or "fisticuffs".

well depends on where u r from...i.e. like down here in the south the people would say "boy, i'm bout ready to tan ya hide" or there is also 'u ready to get belted' or my personal fave ' u know what? here comes my two good buddies, mr left then his friend mr. right" hope this helps
