  1. 175 lb x (1 kg / 2.20 lb) x (6.0 mg / kg) = 480 mg

  2. First, you have to determine the weight of the person in kg.  1 lb = 0.45359237 kg.  So:

    175 lb * 0.45359237kg/1lb = 79.37866475 kg

You must do the multiplication as above to cancel out the units for pounds.  Then, to determine how many mg of the drug needs to be administered, you multiple the given dose by the weight of the person in kg. So:

    79.37866475 kg * 6.0mg/kg = 476.27 mg

Again, you must arrange as above to cancel out kg units.
