  1. A ninety mile per hour fast ball will travel 132 feet per second.

This is about twice the distance from the pitching mound to the plate.

A ninety MPH fast ball will take approximately 1/2 second to travel from mound to plate.

An involuntary eye blink is accomplished in about 1/5 of a second.

    Winner is: An eye blink.

Try it yourself the next time you see a game, most people can blink at least twice during a pitched baseball's flight path to home plate.

  2. I think it is true. Because when i see a 65-70 mph fastball when i play baseball it is pretty fast.

  3. it's not as fast as a blink of a eye. some players blink by mistake while they are about to hit the ball and still make contact. c'mon you can see a pitch come at you at 100mph and then blink and the ball is still coming at you. maybe a 300mph fastball is faster than the blink of an eye.
