An easy dirtbike question?

Question

What would happen if i unscrewed and took off the s***w-top thing(where you add engine oil) while the bike was turned on?No big reason im just curious

well nothin happens actually,just that some gear oil may splash out when ya rev the bike,but i think ya shouldn't experiment on this coz debris may get into the gear chamber and cause ware to ya gears which is a fairly costly part in a motorcycle to get changed...there ya go i just answered to ya curiosity,ride on

Debris would enter the gearbox (if the bike is a 2-stroke) and/or the crankcase (if the bike is a 4-stroke )and cause premature wear and eventual failure.

you would probably get little splashes of oil coming out thats about it

nothing,,  but some oil may come out....

Nothing unless the bike was running and then it woudl spew out.
