An effective workout for a running back?

I just started football as a freshman in high school

we have practices for 4 days in a week but that doesnt seem enough for me and i would like to know if there are any effective runningback workouuts for my extra time.

  1. find a beach or a dry creekbed, or even a sandbox. and try running through deep sand. that always works


  2. Try running through the water as fast as you can. Also try Barry Sanders and LT's work out of running up a hill... it starts the Lactic Acid moving! Hope that helps!

  3. Do the same practices on weekends, thats wut i do, cuz we have practice monday-thursday, and im RB.

    so me and my friends go to the field on weekends and do the same drills and sometimes more, and play practice games with other kids.

  4. The internet is a great place to learn about things. But you know the best place to learn about football workouts? From your Coach man! Just ask him and I am sure he'll be happy to tell you everything that you should be doing. Don't listen to some bozo on-line who tells you he knows because he was a running back a billion and a half years ago! Ur strength coach, your running backs coach, your head coach, these are the three people you should be asking this question to.
