An electric fuse consists of a small strip of wore with a low melting temperature.The current in the protected circuit flows this strip.Which will have a greater resistance, a 10 A fuse or a 20 A fuse?

  1. The thin strip of wire of a fuse has little resistance. It's the current through the circuit that will overheat and melt the fuse wire.

    The 20A fuse wire will take a greater current surge.


  2. I would say the 10A fuse, because if they are both made of the same material, then the 20A fuse needs a bigger area in order to handle more current, this means less resistance.
