  1. go to a room without the computer and just read there is no easy way to read fast. just read and then type and maybe get a typewriter? i know u will b tempted to do other stuff on the computer.

  2. ok well just like read at night thats what i do and i finish it faster..plus look for stuf fthat interests u in the book ull finish it so much faster..and for spark notes ONLY use it if you do not understand wth u just read

  3. idk im addicted to my laptop

but for the book Sparknotes NEVER FAILS :D

  4. Depending on the size of the book, I would read it. But if it's this massive book that would take a month to finish, try hitting up sparknotes.com.

It will let you know the main points and arguments aboutthe book. Incite on the characters and such. If the book isn't on there though, there are lots of other places that can help you, just search the internet for a bit.

But only do this if you are in complete need, I'm sure if you spend at least 2 cumulative hours a day reading the book, you'll be able to finish in time to write the essay, and since you are just starting high school, don't worry about it being a masterpiece of literature, just do your best with the time you have.

And for the addiction to the computer, try limiting your self to an hour or two a day (depending on what you currently spend on it) then work your way down to an hour or so doing what you absolutely need to do. (ie research for school, quickly check email/facebook).

You also need to make sure that you go on AFTER you have finished your homework, don't get caught in the trap of "oh, I'll do it later". Time flies my friend, trust me. I've been there, done that, and it's not pretty.

    Hope this helps!
