I've seen several question on here lately asking whether one thing or another was a sin; anything from vibrator use to laughing at something that was probably genuinley funny.

My question is this: Do you often worry that things you find pleasurable or enjoyable might be a sin?

  1. Nah.

I think that some people put FAR too much thought into whether or not everyday things are sins. I think that breaking the ten commandments are sins, and that we should follow the things in the Bible that tell us how we should live, and that we should try to be decent people (by decent I mean law-abiding, honest, hardworking people). But i don't think there's really any need in nitpicking everything. I believe that if I'm doing something that God does not want me doing and I don't know that He doesn't want me doing it, He will let me know it.

  2. Your question is a very good one. The truth is that anything outside of faith is a sin. The bad news is that all men ( and women)  have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. The good news is that God knows this and offered us a free gift of salvation even though we in no way deserve it. We, as long as we are trapped in this flesh are going to sin, that is just our nature. But Christ Blood was good enough to cleanse all the sins of the world, even the sins that havn't happened yet. Like I said sin is anything outside of faith, therefore no man can quit sinning. Not the Pope not the mormons living prophet, absolutely nobody. We all sin even after salvation but thank God that we dont have to worry about every little sin, because if we accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour then our sins even the ones we havn't done yet are already forgiven. This does not mean go out and intentionally sin but it is simply the assurance that we are no longer condemned because of it.

  3. the best way to know if something is a sin is if you fell bad after you have done something. if you fell you shouldn't have done it, it is probably a sin

  4. Honestly?  No.  I don't worry at all.  If I do something, and later realize it's a sin, I won't be condemned for it.  So... I just try to avoid doing the things I KNOW are sinful, but I don't beat myself up over it if I s***w up.

  5. No i'm not a paranoid one..anything that I would be ashamed to say I have did, done or laughed at in my lifetime I would consider a sin. And if I am not pleased with my own actions no doubt God would be displeased also. I would not consider ALL displeasurable things a sin, only if they make me feel shameful...

  6. I am Christian, but I believe there can be a tendency in some churches to take their faith a little too seriously.  In reality God wants us to be joyful.  I don't think He is impressed with a sour look.

  7. Theres some part of me where I feel like I could've been more social with others, but I also have some great friends because of church.  I don't think using a vibrator would be a sin. Dark humor, yeah we all get a kick out of it, just definitely don't prioritize your own satisfaction and entertainment over God. mm can't really think of anything else that could be pleasurable. Unless you would consider crimes, but not fun or a good cause.
