Okay i'm 17 my boyfriend is 21.... from mississippi.. if i became pregnant could the staff at the hospital when i have the baby contact social services or the police and press charges on him.. My parents wouldnt want to but could the state? even though i consented to it? it says legal consent is 16 in my state but does that mean a 16 year old with any age adult or what?

  1. In most states it is statutory rape for an adult (18) to have any kind of sexual relationship with a minor (under 18), even if the minor says it is OK.  Do yourselves a favor and wait until you are 18 and married to each other.  My wife and I have been married for over 30 years and we both were virgins on our wedding night.  In all these years we have never regretted waiting until the honeymoon to have s*x.

  2. you should be fine if consent is 16 and you are 17 legally you can move out and be an adult now so there isn't a prob.. and the hospitals dont call social services they really don't care who the dad is and how old he is

  3. Usually if you are under 18 the guy has to be more than 4 years older than you to get in trouble. Please dont get pregnant though. Also, if your parents dont have a problem with it then the state usually wont. But, if you would be receiving any support from the state, they will go after the dad.

  4. i am not sure but i think just to be safe you should wait a few months to get pregnant (if you want to get pregnant) just to be safe but i dont think the hospital cares who tha daddy is.
