  1. also the new mercury bulbs are not compatible with dimmer switches, get it done properly,if their is a fire , no insurance payout


  2. There is a good chance that in one of the plugs there is a wire that is not connected properly or not on the s***w, you need to take the plugs out that were replace and make sure all the wires are connected the terminals. TURN THE POWER OFF FIRST

  3. You're lucky he didn't start a fire.

    Now you'll have to pay someone,

    to correct the problem & do what you wanted.

  4. He obviously didn't know what he was doing,get a knowledgeable person to correct it.

  5. if this happened right after he installed them ,did he shut off your main breaker.if he did theres a chance it only set to 1 phase when re-energized.try turning turning it off and resetting it again

  6. Call a licensed electrician.  And, you can replace these things yourself, go to one of those tutorials given by home-improvement stores.
